Soldiers, inmates help with flood fight
National Guard soldiers and state prison inmates are helping with the flood fight in northeastern South Dakota’s Brown County. The soldiers and a crew of 50 inmates from Sioux Falls were helping with sandbagging Wednesday in the Aberdeen area, where some homes are threatened by flooding. Students and staff from Trinity Bible College in nearby Ellendale, N.D., provided help Tuesday.
