Police: Reports of missing Surrey child are untrue

The Minot police department says reports of an Amber Alert for a missing child in Surrey are a hoax. A statement released by police late Friday said authorities have received several calls concerning Facebook postings and text messages about a missing child. Police said there’s no missing child in the area.
