Students connect to world

This year students in Jamestown Public Schools have had conversations with a NASA engineer, students in China and an open heart surgeon in the middle of a quadruple bypass surgery. Advances in technology have allowed for increased video conferencing, and also allowed third-graders to seniors the chance to see sights no textbook can contain, said Rae Ann Vandrovec, technology curriculum and staff development coordinator at Jamestown Public Schools.
