Amateur tournament opens tonight
Jack Brown Stadium has always been a welcoming venue for amateur baseball teams, which is not the case in every town. Jamestown Miller Lite Merchants manager Bryan Erstad, who lives in Fargo, says coming back home to play is always enjoyable and fairly stress free. “It’s a great setup in Jamestown with the access we’re given to the ballpark,” he said. “Fargo ballparks charge an arm and a leg just to use the fields and there’s a lot more competition. So we really appreciate what we have in Jamestown.”
