Convicted man pulls gun in court
BISMARCK — A man pulled a gun in a southwestern North Dakota courtroom Friday, minutes after a jury convicted him of two felonies for allegedly molesting a young girl, county officials said. Vicente Chacano pointed the gun at Jonathan Byers, an assistant attorney general who had prosecuted him for gross sexual imposition, Adams County Sheriff Eugene Molbert said. He said Chacano was “a few feet away” from Byers, attempting to put a bullet into the chamber of a 9mm semiautomatic pistol.By: By Dale Wetzel, The Associated Press, The Jamestown Sun
