Common sense wins with effort to cull elk in TRNP
It took years to accomplish, but the first year of an effort to thin out the elk herd at Theodore Roosevelt National Park has been deemed a success. Park officials said 406 elk were killed inside the park and another 129 elk killed in hunting units adjacent to the park in an effort to reduce the size of the herd, which had grown to roughly 900 animals.By: Minot Daily News, The Jamestown Sun
