Council turns down singles club’s liquor license request

The Jamestown City Council denied a beer and wine permit Monday for a proposed new business in Jamestown. Shari (Doepke) Besednik had applied for the license to offer alcohol with fine dining meals and during social events sponsored by the singles club she operates. The business is planned for the strip mall at 2619 Eighth Ave. S.W. in Jamestown.
