North Dakota ranks in the middle in obesity statistics
Millions of Americans wage a daily battle against excess body weight. A battle many are losing. Two-thirds of adults and almost one-fifth of children in the United States are overweight or obese, according to the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. An adult with a Body Mass Index between 25 and 29.9 is considered overweight; an adult with a BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese.By: By Brandi Jewett, Forum Communications Co., The Jamestown Sun
