Supreme Court leaves ‘Sioux’ decision to voters

The Sioux nickname issue is coming to a polling booth near you. The North Dakota Supreme Court declined Tuesday to address the constitutional issue raised by the State Board of Higher Education, which claimed that a law requiring the University of North Dakota to keep the nickname improperly intrudes on the board’s authority.
