‘Boom’ing business: Hofmann Trucking has plenty of work in Oil Patch

As the nation’s economy limped along in 2008, Hofmann Trucking sent one single truck west, testing the waters of the Oil Patch. That sole truck heralded a shift for Hofmann, from over-the-road hauling to short-range crude oil hauling, from well locations to pipelines and rail stations.
