Column: History offers hints for election

Every election is different so it is risky to place too much faith in speculation based on past elections. This is more true about North Dakota than many other states because personalities impact our elections to a greater degree. However, with interest in the election rising, I’m going to throw my historical fodder into the electoral mix again.
