Employees compete in food drive
Submitted photo Employees at Cargill Malt, Cavendish Farms, UTAS (Goodrich) and Newman Signs recently competed in a food drive. A total of 4,370 food and necessity items were donated to the Salvation Army from the employees of all four companies. This is the second year in a row that Cavendish, Cargill, and UTAS have competed in this event. Newcomers Newman Signs won the competition this year with an average of 19.53 items per employee. Cavendish came in second with 6.06 items, Cargill averaged 5.36 items and Goodrich 1.28 items. Some of the items donated included pancake mix, cereal, diapers, toiletries, canned goods and other non-perishable food items.
