N.D. prosperity looks rather flush
Gov. Jack Dalrymple’s proposed general fund budget for 2013-15 would spend $3.8 billion in North Dakota taxes on ongoing programs, an increase in spending of 9.4 percent per year. The budget for the next two years represents doubling the spending on roads and highways to $2.5 billion, as well as securing tax relief: $714 million for property taxes, $100 million for individual income taxes, $25 million for corporate income taxes and expanding the Homestead Tax Credit from $20 million to $40 million.By: The Bismarck Tribune, The Jamestown Sun
