Girl Scouts make butterflies for museum

Submitted photo The Jamestown Girl Scouts participated in a service project on Nov. 27 to create butterflies to be donated to the Children’s Holocaust Museum in Houston. The museum is asking anyone to help make 1.5 million butterflies to represent the children who died during the Holocaust. Cadette Girl Scout Troop 30834 invited other Jamestown Girl Scout troops to help them make and donate the butterflies to this cause. Approximately 40 Girl Scouts attended and made 227 butterflies. To help with this, visit http://www.hmh.org/ed_butterfly1.shtml. The museum is collecting butterflies until June 2013.
