Schatz to be sworn in as US senator for Hawaii

Incoming U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz was scheduled to be sworn into office Thursday afternoon, a day after being appointed by Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie and flying to Washington with President Barack Obama aboard Air Force One.
