Freshman phenom: Maple Valley’s Nudell already over 1,000 points

To avoid getting caught up in the anticipation of scoring her 1,000th point, Maple Valley’s Rylee Nudell asked for coaches and teammates to keep her out of the loop as she neared the milestone. After Christmas, Nudell knew she was close, but it wasn’t until Jan. 10 that the Raiders freshman reached the 1,000-point mark during a 71-52 road win over Kindred.
