Pipeline protest was a farce
Earlier this month an estimated 30,000 people gathered in Washington, D.C., to protest against pending approval of the Keystone XL oil pipeline, which would carry Canadian tar sands crude oil from Alberta (and via spur, North Dakota Bakken crude) to refineries on the U.S. Gulf Coast. The 30,000 figure was the organizers’ number. It’s likely fewer demonstrators were there, but it doesn’t matter if 30,000 or 30 showed up because their message was a scam.By: The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, The Jamestown Sun
