Lawmaker wants calamari named Rhode Island state appetizer

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Georgia's got the peach, Maine's got the whoopie pie and now Rhode Island wants to claim calamari as an official state food: Specifically, its signature appetizer.
