The Dow, S&P 500, Nasdaq all drop

The Dow dropped 186.29, or 2.3 percent, to 7,789.56. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index fell 19.93, or 2.4 percent, to 815.55, while the Nasdaq composite index fell 45.10, or 2.8 percent, to 1,561.61.
