Garner named new coach at Dakota State

Gary Garner has been hired as men’s basketball coach at Dakota State University. He coached at Drake University for seven years beginning in 1981 and coached Fort Hayes State to the 1996 NCAA Division II national title and a 34-0 season record. For the past two years Garner has been assistant coach with the Iowa Energy of the NBA’s Development League.
