Bala wins another court battle

A Fargo woman whose sentence for illegal gambling was overturned has won another court battle, this one saying she is owed more than $110,000 in back rent. The ruling by a panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upholds an earlier decision by a bankruptcy judge who said Susan Bala was entitled to collect for the back rent.
