Patricia Lynne Messner, 66, Minot, ND, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at Trinity Hospital in Minot. Patricia Lynne Nygaard was born September 3, 1946, the daughter of Clarence and Lila (Tenderholt) Nygaard, in Minot, ND.

Daniel Smith

Daniel Jacob Smith, Age 62 of Coon Rapids, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Daniel was born June 25, 1950 in Gackle, North Dakota, the Son of the late Esther (Herrmann) and George Smith of Alfred, North Dakota.

Beatrice Crossman

Beatrice Grettenberg Crossman passed away peacefully at age 89 in Bellingham, WA. Bea grew up in Jamestown, and after graduating from high school, attended college at Montana State University and the College of Great Falls. In 1947 she married Harold “Bud” Crossman, also from Jamestown.

Mildred Ziegeldorf, 79, Carrington, died Thursday at Carrington Health Center, Carrington.

Lola Zink

Lola Zink, 74, Carrington, died Thursday at her home. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Monday, Grace Lutheran Church, Carrington. Prayer service: 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Evelyn Crowder

Evelyn Maxine Rudnick Crowder, Age 83, Born Buchanan, ND on March 30, 1931 passed away in Claremont, CA on May 10, 2013 after a long struggle with dementia.

Dora Lee

Dora Lee, age 93, of Valley City died May 16th at Mercy Hospital in Valley City. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, May 21st at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Emmy Isaackson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 PM Monday at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home with a family gathering at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one hour before services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Patricia Drong

Patricia L. (Wagner) Drong, 64, passed away due to complications following surgery on Wednesday, May 15th at Sanford Hospital, Fargo. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday May 21st at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sanborn, ND with Msgr Dennis Skonseng as celebrant and Deacon James McAllister assisting.

Evelyn Gruchalla

Evelyn (Alme) Gruchalla, daughter of Hans and Alice (Lettenmaier) Alme, died peacefully on May 15, 2013 at the age of 89 under exceptional care from Sanford Hospice and the nursing staff at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck. Services will be held May 20 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Veterans’ Cemetery in Mandan. Visitation will be 5 p.m-7 p.m. on May 19 at Bismarck Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Arthur LeRoy Talle, age 92, resident of Cooperstown, ND passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown, ND.

Sylvia Hoffer

Sylvia Geraldine Hoffer, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She was born November 9, 1931, in Streeter, North Dakota, the daughter of August and Lydia (Meich) Schock. She attended school in Streeter, graduating in 1949. She was the manager of the Streeter Cafe from 1946 – 1947, and also worked as a fry cook at the Streeter Hotel and Cafe.

Dorene Olson, 64, Wolf Point, Mont., died Wednesday at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford.
