Officials stand next to the turbine Thursday that was transported to the Great River Energy plant in Spiritwood. About 11 workers have been on the road from Houston for three weeks transporting the structure. A combined trailer length of 300 feet with about 50 4-wheel axles and three semi-tractors were used to push and pull the unit. The combined weight of the entire trailer system and cargo was an estimated 1 million pounds.
