Linda Barnick stands in front of her new house Thursday at Montpelier, N.D. In the past couple of years, Barnick has endured the death of her husband, flooding in her yard and most recently, losing her home in a fire. Barnick purchased a modular home and put it on the land she has lived on all of her life.
