The third grade students in Kim Dahlgren’s and Andrew Skunberg’s classes at Lincoln Elementary School wrote Christmas cards for active service members and veterans. The classes agreed that instead of a gift exchange that they would be interested in sending holiday cards to members of the armed forces that are not able to make it home for the holidays and veterans to thank them for their service to this country. Thanks to donations from Cargill, Wilhelm Chevrolet and parents, the students were able to write greetings in and address more than 500 cards.
