Patricia Anderson, the great-aunt of Deborah Kaye Anderson, and other family members said they tried repeatedly to report that the infant, who died last week, was at risk due to the mother’s alleged drug abuse and neglect of her children. The family is speaking out about their struggle in the hope that cooperation among Spirit Lake Tribe and state social services officials will improve.
