With just five players the Jamestown fifth-grade boys basketball team placed first at the Spartan Youth Basketball Association Tournament in Fargo last weekend. They defeated the Thompson Titans 38-36 in double overtime, the Dickinson Lightning 33-17 and the Bismarck Panthers 48-25. Two of the teams players were sick. Team members are, from left, Jaxton Wiest, Trey Hummel, Max Anderson, Thomas Schmiedeberg and Caden Heinert. The team is coached by Mark Wiest and Scott Schmiedeberg.
