Students at Jamestown Middle School paid to wear hats on Friday to raise money for MacKenzie Gerszewski, who was diagnosed with a cancerous growth in her sinus cavity when she was a freshman. Now a junior, she ran into infection issues during reconstructive jaw surgery. A total of $880.15 was raised by JMS students and staff.
