Irvin Schauer

Irvin Gideon Schauer, 60, Jamestown, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009.

Mr. Schauer was born Nov. 5, 1949, in Jamestown, the son of Gideon and Edna (Ebel) Schauer. He grew up on the family farm near Streeter, N.D. He attended a one-room country school and graduated from Streeter High School in 1968. He worked as a baker for more than 40 years. He married Pamilla Trudeau on April 20, 1985, in Jamestown. They lived in Jamestown. He was a member of St. James Basilica, Jamestown, and FCRV camping club. He enjoyed camping, campfires, the outdoors, woodworking, painting and his dogs, Betsy and Shay Ann.

He is survived by his wife; and a sister, Rose (David) Paulson, Bismarck, N.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, St. James Basilica, Jamestown, with the Rev. Joe Barrett officiating.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Haut Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, in the spring.
