Emma Miller, 87, Wishek, N.D., died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Wishek Home of the Aged, Wishek.
Emma Dittus was born Feb. 24, 1923, at Fredonia, N.D., the daughter of Gottfried and Clara (Findel) Dittus. She grew up in the area and received her elementary education at the local rural school. She married Isadore Miller on Dec. 12, 1943, at Lehr, N.D. They lived and farmed east of Lehr. He died April 27, 1970. She then moved into Lehr. She married Walter Miller on Dec. 13, 1971, at Lehr. They lived in Wishek. He died May 28, 1993. She entered the Wishek Home for the Aged, Wishek, in February 2005. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Wishek.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Sitter, Tarpon Springs, Fla.; three brothers, Gerhardt (Leona), Lehr, Roy, Portland, Ore., and Rueben, Fargo, N.D.; and three sisters, Annetta Hauff, Hunter, N.D., Alvina Otterstetter, Oakes, N.D., and Marion Purcell, Tulsa, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, three brothers and a sister.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, United Methodist Church, Wishek, with the Rev. Marty Toepke-Floyd officiating.
Visitation: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Haut Funeral Home, Wishek.
Burial: Lehr Cemetery, Lehr.
