Peter Wipf, 65, Willowbank Colony, near Edgeley, N.D., died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at his home. Mr. Wipf was born Aug. 8, 1944, at the Rockport Colony, Alexandria, S.D., the son of Daniel and Sara (Waldner) Wipf.

Peter Wipf, 65, Willowbank Colony, near Edgeley, N.D., died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at his home.

Mr. Wipf was born Aug. 8, 1944, at the Rockport Colony, Alexandria, S.D., the son of Daniel and Sara (Waldner) Wipf. He grew up and attended school at the Rockport Colony. He married Christina Tschetter on June 28, 1964. They moved to the Fairview Colony near LaMoure, N.D., in 1970 and in 1985, moved to the Willowbank Colony. He served as farm manager for many years.

He survived by his wife; three sons, Ryan, Holmen Wis., and Peter (Marlene), and Paul (Rebecca), both Willowbank Colony; five daughters, Marie (Samuel) Hofer, Willowbank Colony, Sara (Mark) Glanzer, Hillside Colony, Joann (Harold) Hofer, Pembrook Colony, Rosanne Wipf, Schenectady, N.D., and Lorena (Ronald) Waldner, Hillcrest Colony; three brothers, Daniel (Maryann) and Levi (Becky), both Willowbank Colony, and Clarence (Lillian), Lennox, S.D.; four sisters, Sarah (Jonathan) and Rebecca (Lefty) Tschetter, both Claremont Colony, Kathryn (Mike) Kleinsasser, Willowbank Colony, and Mary (Ivan), Spring Creek Colony; three sisters-in-law, Susie Wipf and Anna Wipf, both Fairview Colony, and Rachel Wipf, Willowbank Colony; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George, Jonathan, Alvin and an infant; an infant sister; and a grandson.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Willowbank Colony, LaMoure County, N.D.

Burial: Willowbank Colony Cemetery, near Edgeley.
