Joni Cromwell, 22, Aberdeen, S.D., formerly of Carrington, N.D., died Friday, July 16, 2010, at her home.
Joni Cromwell was born Oct. 4, 1987, at Carrington, the daughter of George and Cynthia (Schulz) Cromwell. She grew up in the Kensal, N.D., area and attended Kensal Public School. She entered the U.S. Army, served in Korea and Fort Hood, Texas, before being honorably discharged. She moved to Aberdeen. She was a member of the VFW, Aberdeen.
She is survived by two sisters, Tammy Cromwell, Fargo, N.D., and Becky (Clifford) Stoppleworth, Kensal; a brother, Tony (Liza) Kollman, Minneapolis, Minn.; a grandmother, Connie Schulz, Streeter, N.D.; and a special friend, BJ Kvasnicka, Aberdeen.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
Visitation: 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial: 10 a.m. Thursday, Streeter City Cemetery, Streeter, N.D.
