Helen Walker Fisk, 93, Jamestown, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown. Helen Greenshields was born June 20, 1917, at Fargo, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Susan (Ritchie) Greenshields.
Helen Walker Fisk, 93, Jamestown, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown.
Helen Greenshields was born June 20, 1917, at Fargo, N.D., the daughter of Frank and Susan (Ritchie) Greenshields. She grew up and attended school in Fargo. She graduated from Fargo High School in 1935. She graduated from North Dakota State University, Fargo, in 1939, with a degree in home economics. She taught in New England, N.D., and Fessenden, N.D., until 1941. She married Allen Fisk on June 30, 1942, at Fargo. She was a homemaker. They lived in North Dakota until 1960 when they moved to Silver Springs, Md. They moved to Lincoln, Neb., in 1962, then to Bismarck, N.D., in 1973. He died in 2000. She entered Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, in December 2007.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Fisk, Edina, Minn., and Sally (Keith) Domke, Jamestown; a sister, Jane Bibelheimer, Bismarck; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Scott; her parents; two brothers; and a sister.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with the Rev. David Bambas officiating.
Burial: Hunter Cemetery, Hunter, N.D., on Saturday. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Homes, Jamestown.
