Angeline Wilhelm, 88, Jamestown, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown. Angeline S. Govig was born Sept. 26, 1931, at Chicago, Ill., the daughter of George and Bella (Olson) Govig.
Angeline Wilhelm, 88, Jamestown, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.
Angeline S. Govig was born Sept. 26, 1931, at Chicago, Ill., the daughter of George and Bella (Olson) Govig. At an early age the family moved to Woodworth, N.D., where she attended school and graduated from Woodworth High School. She worked as an accountant for a construction company in Chicago, Seattle, Wash., and Anchorage, Ala. She moved to Bismarck, N.D., where she worked for Missouri Valley Motors. She married Fritz Wilhelm in Bismarck. They lived in Bismarck until 1962, when they moved to Gackle, N.D., where they owned and operated Wilhelm Chevrolet. In 1980, she returned to Bismarck and worked as an accountant for Burleigh County Senior Adult Center. She retired in 1989 and moved to Phoenix, Ariz. In 1991, she moved to Jamestown. She attended Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Gackle. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and game shows.
She is survived by a son, Tom (Lynn), Jamestown; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a special niece, Laurie Veitch, Phoenix.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and two sisters.
Private family memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday, Haut Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Home, James-town.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
