Stanley Schauer
Stanley Walter Schauer, 58, Conway Springs, Kan., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Wichita Veterans Hospital, Wichita, Kan. Mr. Schauer was born Dec. 26, 1951, at Bismarck, N.D., the son of Walter and Leona (Knoll) Schauer.
Stanley Walter Schauer, 58, Conway Springs, Kan., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Wichita Veterans Hospital, Wichita, Kan.
Mr. Schauer was born Dec. 26, 1951, at Bismarck, N.D., the son of Walter and Leona (Knoll) Schauer. He grew up in the Lehr, N.D., area and received his elementary education at Lehr Public School. He entered the U.S. Army in 1969 and served until 1971. Following his discharge he moved to Devils Lake, N.D., where he worked for an area farmer. He later moved to Kansas where he did custom combining and drove semi until he became ill. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports.
He is survived by seven sisters, Carol (Harry) Motz, Jamestown, Cindy (Keith) Ames, Brooklyn Center, Minn., Nancy (Jon) Pahl, Edgeley, N.D., Donna (Kenneth) Saylor, Houston, Texas, Noreen (Tim) Scholl, Rapid City, S.D., Melanie Schauer, New Rockford, N.D., and Sherie (Rex) Kappes, Cozad, Neb.; and two brothers, Jeff, Houston, Texas, and Barry (Chris), Columbia Heights, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Wishek City Cemetery, Wishek, N.D., with the Revs. Marty and Tammy Toepke-Floyd officiating. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Homes, Wishek.
