Rita Bell, 68, Windsor, N.D., died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at her home.
Rita Rose Cichos was born April 1, 1942, on the family farm near Windsor, the daughter of Joseph and Hattie (Kulla) Cichos. She attended Moon Lake Township school, St. John’s Academy, Jamestown, and graduated from Jamestown High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jamestown College. She began working for the North Dakota State Hospital in 1961. She became an RN in 1973. She married Lanny Bell on Dec. 29, 1958, at Windsor. She retired in 2004 due to ill health. She enjoyed gardening, gambling and her cats.
She is survived by her husband; two brothers, Lawrence (Dorothy), Bennett, Colo., and Ron, Tucson, Ariz.; five sisters, Marguerite Hall, Riverside, Calif., Lorraine Bair, Windsor, Arlene McClure, Valley City, N.D., and Elaine Jaskowski and Carol (John) Rowell, both Jamestown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Richard.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday, St. Mathias Catholic Church, Windsor.
Visitation: none scheduled. Arrangements by Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
