Marna Mae Falk, 77, of Jamestown, ND

Marna Mae Falk, 77, of Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.

Marna Haakenson was born June 10, 1934, in Cooperstown, ND, the daughter of Henry and Margaret (Maisel) Haakenson. She was raised in the McHenry, ND area and was educated there. She married Robert J. Falk on October 17, 1955, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Courtenay, ND. They made their home on a farm near Courtenay and raised ten children. Robert died on September 1, 2007, and Marna moved to Jamestown a year later where she worked for Progress Enterprises, Inc.

Marna was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Courtenay, then St. Boniface Catholic Church, Wimbledon, and presently St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, animals and pets, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Marna is survived by ten children, Marlene (Robin) Hendrickson, Fargo, ND; Allen (Tammy) Falk, Jamestown, ND; Arnold (Debra) Falk, Jamestown, ND; Marna (Jeff) Koenig, Toronto, SD; Lawrence (Carol) Falk, Jamestown, ND; Linda (Bill) Foster, Myrtle Beach, SC; Jacqueline (Dan) Quiram, St. Peter, MN; James Falk, Farmington, MN; Daniel (Susan) Falk, Jamestown, ND; Donna (Andrew) Nelson, Fargo, ND; 21 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; six sisters, twin sister, Margeane Oien, Fargo, ND; Ruth Johnson, Pingree, ND, Evelyn Wagner, Jamestown, Elaine Wenzel, Fargo, Dorothy Bonnet, Goodrich, ND, Dollie (Marcus) Docktor, Jamestown; and three brothers, Leroy Haakenson, Sykeston, ND, John Haakenson, Jamestown, and Dennis Haakenson, Fargo.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one granddaughter, Jeannie; two sisters, Irene and Lorraine; and two brothers, Harvey and Roger.

Eucharist of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2011 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Rosary: 6:30 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel.

Burial: St. Mary’s Cemetery, Courtenay, ND.
