Roy William Siebert Jr., 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 5, 2011 at his home in Jamestown, ND.

Roy William Siebert Jr., 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday October 5, 2011 at his home in Jamestown, ND.

Roy was born to Roy and Elnora Siebert on July 17, 1933 in Bordulac, ND. At a young age he moved with his family to Edmunds, ND, where they established the family homestead and where he continued to farm until his retirement in 1992.

On December 27, 1965, Lois Heinsen and Roy Siebert Jr. were married in Jamestown, ND. He farmed the family farm in Edmunds, ND and Lois taught school in Jamestown. Roy and Lois adopted two children, Dale and Dalene. They enjoyed traveling, camping and boating with family and friends.

Upon retirement Roy enjoyed tinkering on the farm and at his home in Jamestown. Each spring you could find him planting his garden along side the house and each day watering or weeding his garden. He enjoyed having coffee and visiting with his friends at several local restaurants.

Roy is survived by his son Dale, Fort Drum, NY; daughter Dalene (Scott) Sorenson, Owatonna, MN; grandchildren Zachariah and Logan Siebert, and their mother Bonnie Siebert, Fargo, ND; Megan, Seth, Jade Huseby, Tyler, Spencer and Jack Sorenson all of Owatonna, MN; Chelsey Swangler, Minneapolis, MN; beloved Aunt Pearl, Carrington, ND; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his wife; mother and father; his sisters, Lois (Percy) Beckley, Shirley (Ronald) Hambrick and Patricia (Einard) Ellingson and granddaughter, Morgan Jae Huseby.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, ND.

No visitation is scheduled.
