Doris Mayer, 78, Streeter, ND died Early Thursday morning November 17, 2011 at MedCenterOne in Bismarck, ND. Doris Dewald was born October 26, 1933 at at the family farm south of Streeter, ND, the daughter of Edward Dewald and Hilda (Pietz) Dewald. She received her elementary education at the local school and helped on the family farm.

Doris Dewald was born October 26, 1933 at at the family farm south of Streeter, ND, the daughter of Edward Dewald and Hilda (Pietz) Dewald. She received her elementary education at the local school and helped on the family farm.
She and Edwin Mayer were married November 1, 1952 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home on the farm Northwest of Streeter, ND. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and raising chickens.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin, Streeter, ND; 1 son Eric Mayer, Streeter, ND;
1 brother, Dennis Dewald, Pamona, CA and 1 sister, Ileece Anderson, Pamona, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Marvin and Curtis.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Monday November 21, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Medina, ND with Pastor Elmo Herman, officiating.
The interment will be at the Medina Cemetery in Medina, ND.
Visitation: 1-5 Sunday November 20, 2011 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown.
