Lois Syversen, 88, of Edgeley, ND, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown. Lois Deery was born April 7, 1923, in Jamestown, North Dakota, the daughter of Earl and Tillie (Skeim) Deery.

Lois Syversen, 88, of Edgeley, ND, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Jamestown.

Lois Deery was born April 7, 1923, in Jamestown, North Dakota, the daughter of Earl and Tillie (Skeim) Deery. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1942 and attended Matchie Business School in Jamestown. Lois worked at Mom’s Café at Hamburger Inn in Jamestown. She married Vern Syversen on December 30, 1944 in Moorhead, MN. They moved to the Syversen farm near Edgeley, ND where they resided for many years, then moved into Edgeley in 1978. Vern died on April 24, 2003.

Lois was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley.

Lois is survived by three children, LeRoy, Edgeley, David (Bette), Edgeley, and Shelly (Charlie) Long, Bellville, TX; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert Deery, Yankton, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Gladys and Evelyn; and five brothers, Willis, Walt, LeRoy, Cliff, and Kenneth.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley, ND.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Prayer Service: 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
