Carol A. Dockter, 67, Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, December 11, 2011 at her home in Jamestown. Carol Ebel was born May 18, 1944, 13 miles northwest of Medina, ND, in Chase Lake Township, the daughter of Emil and Hannah (Schatz) Ebel.

Carol Ebel was born May 18, 1944, 13 miles northwest of Medina, ND, in Chase Lake Township, the daughter of Emil and Hannah (Schatz) Ebel. She grew up and received her first five years of education in a one room country school three miles southwest of Medina and graduated from Medina High School on May 31, 1962. She moved to Jamestown in June 1962 where she made her home. She worked for Tony’s Electric for 17 years. She started working for Jamestown Plumbing and Heating on October 27, 1997 until she had to retire in late 2011 due to health reasons.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She loved to travel and one of her highlights was going to Elvis Presley’s Graceland.

Carol is survived by a daughter, Darla (Randy) Hogue; two grandchildren, Callie Hogue and Bayler Hogue, all of Jamestown; one brother, Lawrence (Arlene) Ebel, Jamestown; one nephew, Jeff (Dawn) Ebel, Bismarck, ND; great-niece, Jordan Ebel, Bismarck; and special friends, Ella Schelske of Bismarck, and Evelyn Entzi and Darlene Diede, both of Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents and a nephew, Craig Ebel.

Memorial Service: 1:30 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2011 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastors Suzanne Orlopp and Bryce Tahran officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.

The family suggest memorials to Jamestown Hospital Hospice.
