Darrin Ackerman

Darrin Ackerman, 49, Jamestown, ND, died Monday, December 12, 2011 while ice fishing at Jamestown Reservoir. Darrin was born June 12, 1962 in Jamestown, the son of Keith D. and Blanche (Warner) Ackerman. He was raised in Jamestown and attended Jamestown Public Schools. He worked for Mickelson’s Two Wheeler in Jamestown for over 30 years.

Darrin Ackerman, 49, Jamestown, ND, died Monday, December 12, 2011 while ice fishing at Jamestown Reservoir.

Darrin was born June 12, 1962 in Jamestown, the son of Keith D. and Blanche (Warner) Ackerman. He was raised in Jamestown and attended Jamestown Public Schools. He worked for Mickelson’s Two Wheeler in Jamestown for over 30 years.

Darrin’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and he loved all outdoor activities. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved so much.

Darrin is survived by his three children, Sara Mattson, Riley Ackerman and Adair Ackerman; two grandchildren, Brody and Taryn Mattson; fiancée, Leanne Buckley, all of Jamestown; one sister, Denise Paulson-Charles, Minot, ND; one niece, Darcy (John) O’Conner, Minot; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and birth father, Roger Paulson.

Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Victory Lutheran Brethren Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Shawn Bowman officiating.

Visitation: 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Friday, December 16, 2011 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
