Elizabeth Dronen
Elizabeth “Betty” Dronen, 80, Jamestown, ND, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, under the care of hospice. Betty was born in Streeter, ND on November 4, 1931 to Martha and Edward Gums. The family moved to Jamestown, where she met and married Jay Dronen on March 8, 1950. Jay passed away on September 2, 2011.

Betty was born in Streeter, ND on November 4, 1931 to Martha and Edward Gums. The family moved to Jamestown, where she met and married Jay Dronen on March 8, 1950. Jay passed away on September 2, 2011.
Betty worked for Bostwicks and Norwest Bank. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards with family and lifelong friends and cooking for holidays. She loved spending time with family. Betty was a kind and caring person with a great sense of humor. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Jamestown.
Betty is survived by two sons, Michael (Colleen) Dronen and Dana Dronen, one daugher, Julie (Tim) Dwelle, all of Jamestown; six grandchildren, JoDee Rasmusson, Jamestown, Jamie Dronen, Arlington, VA, Jon (Laura) Dronen, Hazen, ND, Jayson (Erica) Dwelle, St. Paul, MN, Levi (Michelle) Dwelle, Jamestown and Nicole (Scott) Weber, Owatonna, MN; nine grandchildren, Kylee, Cole, Caitlin, Samuel, Catherine, Nicholas, Lacy, Lexi and Aubree; and one sister, Alice Parkhouse, Bismarck, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; seven sisters and one brother.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor James Naumann officiating.
Family will be receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
