Paul E. Gohner, 77, Montpelier, ND died early Sunday morning January 15, 2012 at his home in Montpelier.

Paul E. Gohner, 77, Montpelier, ND died early Sunday morning January 15, 2012 at his home in Montpelier.

Paul Gohner was born May 22, 1934 at the family farm in Mikkelson Township, LaMoure County, ND, the son of John Gohner and Amelia (Suko) Gohner. He received his elementary education in the country schools in the are and grew to manhood on the family farm North of Jud, ND. He was a life-long farmer.

He and Audrey Kono were married November 10, 1956 in Alfred, ND. They made their home on a farm north of Jud, ND. In the spring of 1966, they moved to Vancouver, WA where he worked at a lumber mill. The family returned to North Dakota in the fall of 1967 and farmed NE of Alfred. In 1973, they bought a farm south of Montpelier and lived there until October 2009, when they moved into Montpelier, ND.

Paul is survived by his wife, Audrey, two sons, Doug (Lynette), Don (Cindy), all of Montpelier, ND; 3 daughters, Sheila (Steve) Marsalek, Jamestown, ND, Shirley Gohner, Jamestown, ND, Sharlene (Mikel) Kendrick, Montpelier, ND, 6 grandchildren; Jessica (Dave) Amling, Lake Forest, CA; Courtney (Dana) Jacobson, Milnor, ND, Trevor Gohner, Mankato, MN, SGT Jonathon Kendrick, Fort Carson, CO, Lacey Gohner, Fargo, ND, Garrett Kendrick, Montpelier, ND, 2 great grandchildren, Kaiden Jacobson and MacKayla Jacobson, Milnor, ND, 3 sisters LaVerne Yetterboe, Jamestown, ND, Deloris (Lloyd) Schroeder, Alfred, ND, Judy (Dave) Mickelson, Jamestown, ND, 1 brother James (Mavis) Gohner, Jud, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Irene Moldenhauer, Leah Moldenhauer Barthel, Mary Ann Strobel, Sharon Schlenker, 2 brothers, Henry and Joe.

Prayer Service will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday evening January 17, 2012 in the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND with Pastor Bryce Tahran, officiating.

Interment will take place later in the week at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND
