Former England Sevens international Selorm Kuadey, who was forced to retire in 2010 because of an ankle injury, has died. He was 24. Sale Sharks announced Kuadey’s death on Monday without giving the cause. British newspapers widely reported on their websites that the former England under-20 wing had committed suicide.
LONDON (AP) — Former England Sevens international Selorm Kuadey, who was forced to retire in 2010 because of an ankle injury, has died. He was 24.
Sale Sharks announced Kuadey’s death on Monday without giving the cause.
British newspapers widely reported on their websites that the former England under-20 wing had committed suicide.
Kuadey spent five years with Sale before retiring and subsequently graduated with an honors degree in human biology and infectious diseases.
Sale chief executive Mick Horgan says Kuadey “was a very popular young man and a wonderfully talented rugby player.”
