Viola I. Messerall, 101, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Viola Irene Vernoy was born August 25, 1910 in Cameron, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Cora (King) Vernoy. She lived there until 1946 then moved to California, then in 2006 she moved to North Dakota where her home has been since.
Viola enjoyed gardening, knitting and baking.
Viola is survived by three children, Eldon Jewell, St. Cloud, MN, Viola K. (Gary) Zinck, Jamestown and Linda Jewell, Missouri; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Virgil Vernoy and Lois Hunter and her parents.
No services are being planned.
