Gene Jablonski

Gene Stacey Jablonski, beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away on March 1, 2012 after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. His peaceful journey home to be with his Creator gives reason for those who knew and loved Gene to be grateful for the Lord’s grace.

Gene Stacey Jablonski, beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away on March 1, 2012 after a 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. His peaceful journey home to be with his Creator gives reason for those who knew and loved Gene to be grateful for the Lord’s grace.

Gene S. Jablonski was born on September 22, 1957 in Jamestown, North Dakota to Jack and Fae (Carter) Jablonski.

Gene was baptized, received his Christian training and was confirmed at the Zion United Church of Christ in Medina.

Gene received his schooling and graduated from Medina High School. He spent his life being devoted to farming and ranching with his father and brother farming the Jablonski Homestead, established in 1902. He enjoyed helping with the sugar beet harvest in Cavalier for over 20 years. Gene retired from the farm life in 2010 when his illness would no longer allow him to farm.

Gene enjoyed hunting and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by a sister, Sharon (Tom) Cummings, Cavalier, brother, Lyle (Laurie) Jablonski, Medina, sister, Marilyn (Victor) Reule, Menoken, sister, Karen (Marvin) Brendel, McKenzie, sister, Vivian Borth-Smith, Bismarck; niece Tania (San) Schaff, Kara (Justin) Schreiner, nephew, Ryan Jablonski, niece, Tammy (Gene) Muth, nephew, Jack (Brandy) Brendel, niece, Fae (Jeremy) Glass, niece, Vickie Reule, nephew, Curtis (Stephanie) Reule, niece, Lindsay Cummings and niece, Alycia Cummings; great nephews and nieces, Shayla and Tucker Schaaf, Addison Muth, Sam and Ashlyn Brendel, Tiernan Glass, Vanessa Bailey and Cole Reule, Shelby and Tyler Butler, and Madeline Reule, Corbin Schreiner, Audrina Schreiner, and Emma Jablonski.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother-in-law Randy Borth-Smith.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be at the Zion United Church of Christ in Medina at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2012 with Williams-Lisko Funeral Home in Jamestown in charge of arrangements.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Media Cemetery, Medina, ND.
