Darcy Bennett, age 57, of Jamestown, ND, formerly of Pingree, ND, comes to a peaceful end on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, ND.

Darcy Bennett, age 57, of Jamestown, ND, formerly of Pingree, ND, comes to a peaceful end on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, ND.

Darcy Gene Bennett was born on September 25, 1954, the son of Donald and Donna (Chaney) Bennett at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND. He graduated from Pingree High School in 1972 and University of Mary in Bismarck in 1976. Darcy worked on the family farm until September 1994, when he was involved in a farm accident. He resided at the Dewey Apartments in Jamestown for the past 18 years. Darcy entered Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd on February 27, 2012.

He loved his sports and visiting with all his many friends. Darcy always had a great outlook on life.

Darcy is survived by his parents, Donald and Donna Bennett, Carrington, ND; two sisters, Debra (Dale) Diede, Pingree, ND and Denise Bennett, Owatonna, MN; one brother, Daren (Cheryl) Bennett, Pingree; three nieces Dana( Bill) Moffett, Fargo, ND, Michelle (Duston) Hagen, Lincoln, ND, and Amanda Bennett, Bloomington, MN; two nephews, Donovan (Rebecca) Diede, Baxter, MN and Scott Bennett, Pingree; three great nieces; and one great nephew.

Funeral Service: Pingree Congregational Church, Pingree, ND

Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM

Interment: Carrington Cemetery, Carrington, ND
