Patricia “Pat” Johnson, age 90, of New Rockford, ND, died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND. Patricia Mae Bass, was born May 10, 1921, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Givens) Bass in New Rockford, ND. She grew up and graduated from New Rockford High School.
Patricia “Pat” Johnson, age 90, of New Rockford, ND, died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd, New Rockford, ND.
Patricia Mae Bass, was born May 10, 1921, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Givens) Bass in New Rockford, ND. She grew up and graduated from New Rockford High School. On March 12, 1940, she was united in marriage to James “Legion Jim” F. Johnson.
She worked at Johnson Store and Coast to Coast in New Rockford for a number of years. She was an avid bowler and a huge sports fan. Pat was a route driver for Minot Daily News for 16 years and was involved with her husband in annual Christmas tree sales.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Pat is survived by one son, Jim (Joyce) Johnson, Grand Forks, ND; three daughters, Janice Aus, St. Paul, MN, Patricia (Dave) Hilbert, New Rockford, ND, and Peggy (Orlan) Richter, Bismarck, ND; one daughter-in-law, Varene Bettesworth, Galesville, WI; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; one son William; her parents; four brothers, Henry, James, Richard and William Bass; two sisters, Annie Bass and Gretchen Willey.
Visitation: Tuesday 1:00PM – 8:00 PM, and Wednesday 9:00 AM – Noon in Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford
Prayer Service: Tuesday at 7:00PM, in Evans Funeral Home, New Rockford
Funeral: United Methodist Church, New Rockford, ND, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM,
Interment: Prairie Home Cemetery, New Rockford, ND
