Marion L. Ness, 90, Jamestown, ND, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown. Marion Ness was born November 25, 1921 in Jamestown, the daughter of Obert A. and Winifred (Somsen) Ness. She grew up in the Buchanan, ND area and graduated from Buchanan High School. Marion received her Bachelors Degree and teaching certificate from Valley City State College.

Marion Ness was born November 25, 1921 in Jamestown, the daughter of Obert A. and Winifred (Somsen) Ness. She grew up in the Buchanan, ND area and graduated from Buchanan High School. Marion received her Bachelors Degree and teaching certificate from Valley City State College. She taught in Carson, ND, Glendive, MT, Miles City, MT, and later in the Bismarck, ND School system for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She moved to Jamestown in 2008 and resided at the Heritage Center.
Marion enjoyed reading and visiting with her friends.
Marion is survived by a sister, Hazel (Harvey) Holzwarth, Jamestown and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, March 26, 2012 in the Barthel Room at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, with Deacon Tom Geffre officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Buchanan Cemetery, Buchanan, ND.
